Luis Monteiro’s journey into fashion and photography began later than most. Until the age of 22, he had never picked up a camera, nor shown any real interest in the field. Everything changed when he attended a one-week photography course at the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, led by his mentor Luís Fardilha. That experience sparked a deep passion and gave him the confidence to pursue photography with determination.
A self-made photographer, Monteiro has since built an impressive body of work, shooting fashion editorials across different countries and for numerous magazines. His imagery is recognized for its timeless elegance, marked by a striking use of color and a unique balance between fantasy and reality
